Protein Flapjack recipe:
This is the best Protein Flapjack recipe I make and I have done lots of experimenting. I always use My Protein powders but everything else is sourced from the supermarket. The are easy to make and keep in an airtight container for around 4 days. Excellent mid afternoon snack or post run for the Protein and carb hit. Each bar, if mix divided into 6 will give approx. 245KCAL and 17.5g of protein.
- 100g Peanut Butter
- 120g Oats-I use supermarket value/basic ones
- 75g Protein Powder- I use any flavour and the chocolate brownie flavour from My Protein very good- Click here to buy
- 125ml of skimmed milk
- Tbsp of Honey
Mix all ingredients together and then place on a tray to give you a bar about 1.5-2 cm thick. Bake at Gas 5 for 10-12 minutes, allow to cool and cut into 6 bars. If baked for too long the bars will be really dry, edible but you will be gasping for water!
